  3. Menopause symptoms CBD could help ease

Cannabidiol is a chemical that occurs in cannabis plants. It is possible that cannabidiol oil could help to treat the symptoms of menopause.

Most of us never seriously consider menopause until we find ourselves on its doorstep — woefully unprepared to deal with its many symptoms. Some of us might not even recognize these symptoms during the early stages of perimenopause. But the sooner we notice and proactively respond to the changes happening within our bodies, the better our future health.

Unfortunately, you may have discovered that the medical system is also woefully unprepared to deal with the symptoms of menopause. Previous generations of women were so quiet about “the change” that the medical system is only just now waking up to the needs of peri- and post-menopausal women. So, like many others, you may be turning to traditional herbal medicines for support — because our great- great-grandmothers were probably on to something.

    CBD to help Veterans

For many of us pain is understandable. It’s a part of everyday life, but the psychological trauma that our military veterans live with is something entirely different. During 2014-16, the rate of probable PTSD among ex-regular veterans was 7.4%, compared with 4.8% among those currently serving as regular personnel, the study found. Former military personnel who deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan were more likely to report the symptoms of PTSD.

Unfortunately, mental health issues carry a sigma and many veterans won’t admit that they can see so often no one pays attention to it.

Only 50% of veterans that return from service will seek help. There’s a stigma attached to getting help, so much that many veterans turn to self-medication which leads to substance abuse and addiction.
